Default Pedro Walnut Canopy Diameter?

Next weekend I'll be planting my new Dave Wilson bare root Pedro walnut and I don't want it to hang over the house or the side fence when it is full grown. What will the diameter of this tree be when it is full grown? It is supposed to get 30 ft tall. Should I also expect it to be 30 ft in diameter?

Thanks, Keith Silva

Pedro is a relatively small walnut tree, slightly taller than wide. 30 ft. is a reasonable estimate for width under good conditions. (Walnuts grow best in deep, well-drained, loamy soils.)

Thanks. It's a great bare root tree with very big roots. I'm going to try hard to plant it next weekend if the weather isn't too wet.

Thanks, Keith Silva
