Question Spray for peach tree?

I think I may be in trouble. I bought dormant spray for my dwarf peach a couple weeks ago, as it has had peach leaf curl the last 2 years. But then we had 10 days of rain here in SoCal, so I didn't spray. But when I went out yesterday, the flower buds are just starting to open. My understanding is that you have to spray when the tree is completely bare. So is it too late? I don't want to damage the tree, but if it only means a slightly smaller crop if I spray these flowers, that's OK. What to do?
